Our story
A small studio with a long horizon.
ByThePlant began with a simple question: what if the things we wore and ate from could quietly become soil again? We design with banana fiber, hemp, sugarcane and rice — plants that grow fast, take little, and give it all back.
Plants first.
People always.
We work with farming co-operatives in South India and Portugal, paying fair rates for stems and stalks that would otherwise be burned. Every garment carries the name of the village it came from.
